Recent Projects- Wall Finish First PageNew Wall Finish![]() At this house, we painted all the common walls throughout the downstairs area with a 3 part ragged finish. Because we came in after the walls had been painted a flat white, we created a new paint finish that matches the texture of a soft suede oil finish using only flat paints.
![]() That's Carolyn! First we applied the darkest color over the entire surface, not much detail was needed during this first stage. We just wiped, smeared or "threw" the paint on the wall. Okay, it was mostly wiped on.
![]() The next step is most important, we applied a lighter color by patting and "scrunching." We each had our own technique, the finish came out the same though. Third we applied a toner, which was yellow. It basically gave the walls their soft golden color and tied in the first two coats nicely. The best part about this finish is how easy it is to maintain. I should know, I've done it already! Because the paint is flat latex, repairs are fast and simple.
We provide most samples (up to 3)and an estimate free of charge. We also have a portfolio showcasing the wide variety of work we do. Mitch & Carolyn |
