Lets Catalog the not so Houston ordinary ...

I'd like to revamp this site and am not sure what direction it will take yet, but for now I'm collecting links to events, people and places. I'm working on an off the "beaten path" list of sorts. And wonder if you can share something with me?

Everyone knows about the big festivals and annual events Houston is known for. I'm looking for the relatively unknowns, privately owned or new non-profit events, festivals, markets or just whacked out, out of the ordinary places that give you a thrill when you find them.

I plan on putting these links on my arts market website (if local artists benefit) and on ArtValet.com

Of course I love input, send me something to my email.

Art Markets/Festivals

  1. First Saturday Arts Market
  2. East End Urban Market
  3. Midtown's Art In The Park This one is put on by one person, so it counts in my book.
  4. PerezCohen Gallery Hey, I'm not biased, its a MOBILE gallery! How cool is that?

Relatively unknown really kick ass art type stuff.

Artists AT LARGE

  1. Marie Weichman in Denmark - a photo journal
  2. Kim Kaiser in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The 1st three here are awesome arts related events newsletters, you will be hipper than all your friends when you whoop out these lists.
Drop them an email with subscribe in the subject.
