ArtValet.com!

Howdy do?

Following is a preview from the ArtValet.com calendar listing.

What is Art Valet? Quite simply, it is a website by artists for everyone!
Artists write columns about everything from art reviews, fine craft,
philosophy, poetry and music. There is an artists Rolodex listing over 70
artists web pages, and a special section just for artists.
The Gallery listings are Houston area galleries that showcase
and support local artists. So grab some java, your calendar and have a look!

In an effort to help spread global awareness of ongoing genocide in Uganda and the abduction of thousands of children by rebels The Studio Gallery is hosting a presentation of INVISIBLE CHILDREN on Friday night, April 21st at 9:30 p.m.

If the weather is good and the city is quiet, we will project the documentary outside; however if necessary, the viewing will take place inside the Gallery, so please bring a lawn chair or blanket.

The footage is raw and heart wrenching so please take care in bringing young viewers to this event.

I hope you can join us.

“Every true artist has been inspired more by the beauty of lines and color
and the relationships between them than by the concrete subject of the picture."
Piet Mondrain

Have you ever wondered what drives an artist’s desire to create?....INSPIRATION…Each featured artist was given a camera to take photos of everything and anything they wanted….From these photos the artists’ discovered creative inspiration…This exhibition explores not only the artworks each artist created but also the photos from where the inspiration came from……
So – End the week right....We here at Sippora invite you to come and explore this theme….
