Monday, Jan 2nd:
Artwork: Medusa's Jester
This piece is suppose to be a contradiction, in that Medusa with her snakes is suppose to be evil, and a Jester by tradition is a happy person. I combined the 2 together, making the snakes non-threating, yet a reminder of what they stand for.
Oil, 24x48

Tuesday, Jan 3rd.
Artwork: Blue Woman in Red Room
Yet another piece in contradiction, or opposites playing off each other. Here is a woman, who by the color blue, is associated with being down or sad, in a room who's color is often associated with excitement. Her back to turned away from us and she is looking out a window.
Oil,24x36

Wednesday, Jan 4th
Artwork: StarMaker
Here is a sci-fi piece that shows a lady surrounded by moons, some in yellow color, and some near the botton of her dress in greens, with a star in her hand. She is sort of like a mother nature person or celestial being in that she is making stars and putting them out in the atmosphere.
Oil, 18x30

Thursday, Jan 5th
Artwork: The Sage
This character is taken from Caravaggio's "Supper at Emmaus". I loved the perspective point, where his hands are stretched out. It seems as if it could also be a version of Christ on the cross, or perhaps, Christ at a table embracing everyone, whether good or evil.
Oil, 24x36

Friday, Jan 6th
Artwork: 6 Birds and Lady
This piece is about things spinning out of control and losing your mind too, perhaps things around you aren't there. If you will notice, her dress is spinning in that it is going around in circles and she is surrounded by imaginary birds that close in on her. Things are falling apart.
Oil, 30x40
