Silence on the Bayous

This piece pays homage to the musicians of the Gulf Coast silenced by the devastation from Hurricane Katrina. While the trumpeter rests his head on is knee in somber contemplation, he does not set the horn aside because he will play again once his city returns.

Tuesday

The Trio

The pure joy of jazz is depicted by three musicians as they jointly celebrate their art in song. Three as one is emphasized and your ears betray you as you hear just one marvelous instrument.

Wednesday

Eve in the garden of Roses

Eve drifts off in slumber while the scent of roses recalls a past love. The roses are both a striking visual contrast to her simplicity and a symbolic catalyst for her beautiful dream of passion.

Thursday

J-City

J City depicts the bravado of the jazzman during a raucous jam session. The energy from their music feeds their psyche and they grow larger than life and command the entire metropolis to swing.

Friday

Market Day

Young ladies dress in bright showy dresses for summer market day. A youngster singles out a familiar face and she responds, briefly albeit not whole-heartedly. The other ladies, unimpressed, retain their dignity and their poses.
