Artwork: Galveston Reds

The artist is passionate about the sea and this painting was an attempt to capture the essence of W. Galveston Bay. She filled it with as many vibrant colors as possible, to reflect the beauty of the sea and her love for it.

Tuesday, January 17
Artwork: Tsunami Victims Memorial

On the morning of the Tsunami Catastrophe, Michelle says she felt compelled to paint this When she woke in the morning and found out what had happened. This was the artists subconscious reaction.

Wednesday, January 18
Artwork: Sea Tango

In this painting the artist wanted to paint the ocean using a different color scheme. One of her on-going projects is to portray the sea in all its many moods, seasons, colors and times of day -- similar to Monet's obsession with the water lily series.

Thursday, January 19
Artwork: Sea Frenzy

This painting is an abstraction of one of the daily rituals of the ocean, feeding time. The birds are swooping down for their meal, just as the fish are going upwards to reach theirs. The two meet in a whirling kaleidoscope of color and energy.

Friday, January 20
Artwork: Passion Blooms

Passion. The word evokes memories of warmth, lushness, richness and sensuality. With this painting the artist tried to capture that. Michelle used the image of a unique bloom; one that originates not from Nature, but from her own imagination.
