Name of Artwork: Mandala

Description: Living in tree house in the middle of the rainforest last summer...I danced under a full moon barefoot. This painting expresses that emotion. It conveys the passion and beauty I felt...and a world with adventure and possibilities...full of discovery and newness.

Layers of paint of varying color and depth created from a highly textured surface...express that experience.

Name of Artwork: Warhol my love

Description: I am highly inspired by faces and color. Each color represents some aspect of the many different faces/aspects of who we are...and when they all come together it makes this vibrant complete picture. It practically painted itself.

Name of Artwork: Breathing Deeply

Description: I love old rustic vintage, earth tone emotions. Inspired by the muddy waters of Central America and bathing in the rivers with Mayans...and washing my clothes with the locals...I felt really connected with the earth and the land with a slight feeling of everyday melancholy.

Name of Artwork: Hemingway in Paris

Description: Sitting at a cafe in paris on a sleepy winter morning, reading Hemingway, sipping espresso and writing in my journal...i felt his solitude and clung to my scarf and my feeling of faraway love. It was the cafe that he created short stories: La Rotonde. This painting recreates that day with Hemingway.

Name of Artwork: Burning Bridges

Descriptions: Postcards always showed up from countries they had never heard of. She was always on some wild adventure that she never spoke of once she returned. She would play Bob Dylan and get that wild look in her eye...and disappear for months. Her letters swayed from tortured soul to full ecstatic beauty...and there are no words for that. Only these colors...that create a feeling...that make this painting.
