Howdy! Today I am just worn out. I had to cancel the market Saturday due to horrible weather forecasts that didn't happen. Sunday's rain date was okay but they are never the same. Tell you what, the artists that come to the market are among the nicest and optimistic people in the world. We couldn't ask for a better crowd to be hanging out with! We have what I call "The Hospitality" tent every month, it's basically just our info tent stocked with drinks and some beer on occasion. When your outside all day long, an ice cold beer really tastes good! Some of the artists want a margarita machine for our evening markets. I'm wondering if they've ever had to clean one of those! Might try it, what do you think? June 3rd begins the Yale Street Arts Market evening hours for the summer. Everyone is very excited about that. I think it'll be great having art at night with all the lights on, and people coming by before or after dinner. Or heck, FOR dinner! We do have Lorna. Okay, gotta git. Just thought I'd jump in here and say hi! HI! Cheers! -Mitch Mitch writes about his travels throughout the vast neighborhood known as the Houston Heights...and beyond! |
