Mitch Notes April 14th![]() Friday, April 14th I'm on my way to work, so truth is, I saw this page and couldn't leave it like that and decided to archive it! I'll be at the show tonight! And tomorrow too! Come out and sit on the hill, sip some wine (bring it if you want it!) and marvel at the talents of people under 4 feet tall! I'll pop in later with more stuff I've done the past few weeks. Promise. From the HITS website: WEB The King and I will be presented APRIL 6th, 7th, 8th, 13th, 14th & 15h FREE! at MILLER OUTDOOR THEATRE at 8 PM East versus West makes for a dramatic, richly textured and ultimately uplifting tale of enormous fascination. It is 1862 in Siam when an English widow, Anna Leonowens, and her young son arrive at the Royal Palace in Bangkok, having been summoned by the King to serve as tutor to his many children and wives. The King is largely considered to be a barbarian by those in the West and he seeks Anna's assistance in changing his image, if not his ways. With both keeping a firm grip on their respective traditions and values, Anna and the King grow to understand and, eventually, respect one another, in a truly unique love story. FOR TICKETS, GO TO THE MILLER OUTDOOR THEATRE BOX OFFICE ON THE DAY OF THE SHOW. THE BOX OFFICE IS OPEN FROM 11:30 TO 1 PM. These are FREE TICKETS FOR RESERVED & NUMBERED SEATS. All unoccupied seats are released at 7:55 PM.You don't need a ticket to sit on the hill! Mitch writes about his travels throughout the vast neighborhood known as the Houston Heights...and beyond! |
