TRIBUTE TO THE SOUL CATCHERS, Part II' 'What to do with our loss'

by, Laydee Lane June 2006

What we do with that Loss, is where I would like to begin the second part of this coulmn.

Loss of the Spirit, Soul, Body, Shelter, or Famliarity can be devestating to us as free spirits.

A free spirit needs to be safely nustled and nurtured for the rare beauty they are. Building a cabinet to house the beautiful butterfly, would take nothing but the finest craftmanship from the master carpenter in the trade. Cause the depth of precision that need to be exercised so that the beautiful butterfly could have enough lite, air, and room to move, to be sheltered yet free to flutter as if she was free from it all.

The Butterfly would need beauty to surround her just as much as the miraculous depth of beauty she brought to her place of honor.

A free Spirit cannot be contained, however it can be given safety and security within their environment.....

When tragedies of all natures leave us winded and wondering where we were before it hit..

And when we can't seem to reject the blow and find ourselves steadily on the path that we had been trotting along almost effortlessly before..

Reach back into your core, pull out your destiny map and tell yourself, "It is worth the wait, set you sails, once again, and shove off".

Once again my own walk through this thistled land of priveleges and choices, I find myself reflecting on decisions that indeed will affect my destiny and the destiny of others.

And as I pull out my map, peer upon it, I will be praying for you. I will be praying for Goodness and Mercy to be following you all the days of your life...rushing to you like polarized magnets.

May God Grant You another Day to Create,

Respectfully yours,

 Laydee L. Lane

LET YOUR GAIT BE MADE KNOWN

When we think of someone who is a leader, we often think about those around us who enjoy and may i even suggest, seek out the limelight for their own insatiable need for confirmation and validation. While there could be lots of leaders who may demonstrate this type of personality behaviors or habits, it's a false representation of what true leadership is about.

Leadership is defined by one's ability to step out in front to lead and allow their self, ideals, values and person to be in front view of others to peer upon. Knowing the risks of vulnerablility yet facing the fear and choosing the courage to be out in front and different, paving a new way of thinking and doing.

Leader's are vulnerable to mistakes as easy as you and I in everyday life, what sets good leadership apart from the rest is the ability to fall back to a foundation built on true principles that align oneself to their true core identity. Where do you start and the rest of the world begin. What still small voice are you going to listen to inside or the pressure of outside broadcast's and influences of what everyone else thinks you should be doing.

What stirs in your heart as the difference between right and wrong, or has your conscience been searred by the desensitising of this media, broadcast, communication, message, driven age. Have you lost who your core person is. Walk back and forth and up and down with your soul for a while. Answer the really hard questions and stop the cycle of denial and retribution. Retreat into the sactuary of peace and right mindedness by stopping your addictive behaviors to constant stimulation. Allow the whirling of thoughts to settle like the dust in a still, quiet room.

After all, you are in charge of you. Your mind, will, and emotions, are at your command. Govern yourself and your emotions with fairness and regulate the power they have to drive you into behaviors that will not advance your direction forward into freedom. It's never about winning the race. We already won. It's about how well we race, while we are racing. Set your pace and stick to it. Allow the course to take you naturally into new strides, leaps of faith, and bounding joy.

Set your bearings, and do not be allow any influences to knock you off them. Align yourself in manners of truth, honor, and integrity. Enjoy the Walk.

Cheers,
