Her intuitive style was recognized early on. Shanks has been exhibiting professionally since her early teens. In her young career she started Artist Breaking the Cycle and won the wage peace award in 2001. Her paintings are in permanent collections worldwide.
Currently Shelley Shanks’ is collaborating with Nobel Laurette's, through a United Nations resolution teaching peace and nonviolence to children through art.
