MEDIUM: Painting

Just as people are moved through music to remember times and places in life, so should art move someone…

My goal when creating a painting is to create a piece of artwork that makes you think and feel something, anything. By creating pieces that are not an exact replica of an image, it gives you the opportunity to explore the painting and relate it to your life.

Through color and movement the mood of a painting can be changed drastically. I tend to paint abstract or surreal paintings of the human form. Although I have painted mostly in oils or acrylics in the past, I have recently started painting collages using watercolors, pastels and items from everyday life such as newspapers or earrings.

I have been painting professionally for seven years; however I only in the last two years was able to begin painting full time. I spend the majority of my time painting murals for children’s rooms and businesses, although I have been commissioned to paint artwork a lot more frequently in the past year. I have several shows a year and would be happy to keep you up to date as to when the shows will occur.
