Howdy y'all. I'm a Lubbockite by birth, a Houstonian by education, and now I live and make art in Austin, so hopefully I still belong on this site!

Although I was originally trained as a painter, and studied with professional oil and watercolor artists, I seem to have evolved into a glass artist... Both my mother and grandmother were traditional stained glass artisans, and I have always loved the colors and textures, and COLORS, of stained glass. I picked up the traditional method watching the women in my family, and have developed a method of my own.

For my current work, I hand cut each and every piece of stained glass you see in the photos and overlay them in intricate patterns on top of antique, unwanted windows. I also make furniture, and in situ installments, using basically the same techniques, but the windows give me the largest canvas with which to create!

I have discovered a love for participating in art fairs and shows, but I really like the personal work involved in commissions. If you need pricing info, or have questions, here's some contact information: zoso@austin.rr.com As well, I have pieces in 'The Living Desert' in Austin, Blue Moon Glassworks in Austin, and the Mogollon Artisans Gallery in Mogollon, New Mexico...
