My art consists of both paintings and sculptures that are primarily from my interests in various subjects and themes. I like to explore the different forms of expression and styles that my materials provide. It is through content and color that my work speaks for itself. Generally, I choose my painting subjects by the forms in nature that delights and captures my imagination. Meditation and traveling are ways that I get inspiration to paint and sculpt. The vibrant colors in nature are in some of my landscape, seascape, and still life paintings. My educational background combined with history and sports is also portrayed in my paintings. My wood sculptures are carved and painted into figurative sport themes and others are abstracted forms. When I look at a tree I can visualize an image which takes on different forms. My body of art work expresses diverse mixed mediums which include: paint stick, acrylic and oil paint. I also use recycled materials such as old windows and metal in my art work.
