ELENA TEXAS is one of the foremost new artists to emerge in the contemporary art world in recent years. Her original oil paintings are modern yet imbued with old-world, classical European influences. Elena's palette embodies rich, vibrant and expressive colors, and her subjects elicit deep emotions. In addition to oil painting, she also works in a variety of mixed media and other techniques.

Since transitioning from formal training to professional career, Ukrainian born Elena Texas has developed a significant body of work. From her early university days in Kiev, she studied and worked in London and in Norway, before becoming more widely recognized in the U.S. just a few years ago.

Elena's work is in private collections in Europe and in select U.S. cities. She has exhibited in many local venues including the MFAH, where she continues studies at the Glassell School of Art.
