Call to Artists----Midtown Art in the Park

The 2nd Annual Midtown Art in the Park, April 12, 2008, is a non-juried fine art festival featuring local and regional artists selling their original creations along a quarter mile walking path that meanders through Elizabeth Baldwin Park. A recent $800,000 renovation of the park provides the community with a wonderfully landscaped site with towering ancient oaks, picnic and game tables, signature Midtown benches, a children’s playground and Heritage Gazebo make this festival a unique urban event. Patrons enjoy the opportunity to stroll along a shaded path lined with artists showing their original works. Midtown is a burgeoning urban community in the heart of Houston. An urban community Midtown is home to 16,000 residents and over 500 businesses; Midtown offers artists patrons with buying power.
